Why Hydrating Face Mists a Must for Your Skin?

Using hydrating facial mists are a simple and effective way of adding more moisture to your face. Serving the purpose of combating dry skin, revitalizing tired skin and brightening up a dull complexion, facial mists are great all-year-round pick-me-ups.

It refreshes your skin with no extra efforts. It is the fastest ever skin reviver. On a sweltering day, after a yoga session, or whenever you hit that midday slump at university or college, spritzing your face feels cooling and invigorating.

An added advantage is that facial mists are mostly made up of water content, a nutrient that our face needs the most for moisturizing. Therefore, its formulation of extra hydrating components make it more beneficial for the skin and enable the skin to stay nourishing throughout the day. In short, it is a secret to hydrate your face instantly.

  • It seals the extra moisture from the facial skin by creating an additional layer between the application of makeup and other highly riched skincare products
  • It soothes down the sensitive skin by taking down redness and irritation. Hence, is a must for replenishing moisture
  • It is essential for absorbing excess oil from the skin and therefore providing protection from acne and pimples
  • It also sets your makeup

I also love using a homemade face serum. It really treats your skin well. Here’s a natural DIY face serum recipe for glowing skin.

How to Use DIY Face Mist in a Daily Regime?

DIY face mist is a phenomenal investment because it offers a variety of many uses including;

  1. Makeup setting spray– Yeah you read that right, some make-up setting sprays are none other than the facial spray recipes. They keep your face and make-up stable when the temperature of the environment rises. Hence, saving you there.
  2. Homemade face toner– my personal favorite use is applying DIY face spray for summers as a personalized, sprayable toner. This means that you don’t need to have cotton balls to apply the toner.
  3. Travelling– Plane and other modes of transportation dries out your skin and causes pimples. A face mist improves the hydration and freshness of your skin.
  4. Cooling off– Face mists will become an essential part of your skincare routine after you read this use. To cool off, spray yourself whenever you feel heated. In the summer, I keep my face mist in the fridge and use it when I’m hot and sweaty. And what wonders it does. Hence, if not anything, this perk for sure would convince you to make one for yourself.
  5. Physical exercise– A facial mist spray comes in handy when you’re sweaty following a long, hot workout but can’t get to a faucet to wash your face yet. You’ll feel cleaner, therefore, protecting your face from harmful bacterias. And you’ll be less likely to break out.

Steps to Apply Facial Sprays at Home

Use your facial mist at home anytime you want, preferably twice a day as a part of your beauty skincare routine. Mist yourself as per your need.

Start off by cleansing the face thoroughly, close your eyes and spray the DIY face mist onto the face. You can also apply it before facial serum and moisturizer, enabling the two products to absorb into the skin evenly before moving on to the next step.

If you are following your full facial regimen, make sure you cleanse and exfoliate the face first. Then steam down your face for few minutes, apply a homemade face mask and spritz the facial sprays at home.

When you use the facial spray to set your makeup, spray the DIY face mist after putting on your makeup.

Unbelievable Benefits of DIY Face Mists

Hydrating face mists help in priming your skin for make-up. It forms a layer of face mist before the foundation. Further contributes to producing a smoother, more moisturized canvas on which you apply your makeup. It aids in blending a foundation, thus making it look natural on the face and preventing you from having a cakey look.

Moreover, if you are someone like me, you would for sure end your make-up by dusting a translucent powder. However, in reality, you don’t really like doing that step because it makes the texture of the skin look powdery dry.

This is when you need superfine DIY makeup setting sprays. Not only this but face mist is an easy method to freshen your makeup without having to wash your face and start over when you’re going from the office to a night out on the town. It also enhances the absorption of other products that you apply to your face.

Lastly, oftentimes, a product simply does not work. The consistency may be too thick, the texture is too dense, or the covering is too opaque. Homemade face mist with natural ingredients plays its part to dilute other products on the face. I am sure that you would be amazed to read these benefits just like I was when I initially explored them!
